The TAQ-56 saw some light usage during the first official matches in the Call of Duty League.

The assault rifle is currently used as a long-range option for professional players that want to lock down long sight lines in respawn game modes. Players that are looking to try out Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s new competitive mode, CDL Moshpit, might want to use the TAQ-56 for this reason or as their primary weapon. Those players will need the strongest loadout for the TAQ-56 to compete against the onslaught of M4s in CDL Moshpit.

While the M4 does see much more use in competitive, some players have stood by the TAQ-56 as their main weapon. Those that use the TAQ-56 likely enjoy playing further back from the action and picking off enemies from a distance. In close range, the TAQ loses a large portion of its viability, as a faster weapon will usually outclass it. Although, there are a set of attachments for the TAQ-56 that allow it to excel at any range on the map, especially in the chaotic action of CDL Moshpit.

Best TAQ-56 loadout for CDL Moshpit

Since the TAQ-56 is more of a long-range weapon, the best loadout for it is focused on improving accuracy and damage range. However, there are ways to also boost its overall mobility for any close-range engagements.

  • Muzzle: RF Crown 50
  • Barrel: 14.5″ Tundra Pro Barrel
  • Underbarrel: FTAC Ripper 56
  • Rear Grip: Demo Cleanshot Grip
  • Optic: Slimline Pro (optional)

Players that don’t feel comfortable with the TAQ’s iron sights can throw on the Slimline Pro optic. However, this will reduce your aim down sights time. Most of the loadout is accuracy-centric, but the Demo Cleanshot Grip gives players some much-needed mobility.
