For the better part of 2022, sniper loadouts have largely been eradicated from the meta of Call of Duty: Warzone. For several reasons, players stopped using snipers in their loadouts, usually opting for the more traditional assault rifle and submachine gun combination. Snipers simply grew out of the meta, as players found they can compete at long-range with a strong AR instead.
However, for players that are still trying their hand at sniping, a weapon is currently in Vanguard that makes for the perfect support option.
Since Warzone was introduced, the term “sniper support” has been thrown around to describe a weapon that can be used as a secondary gun alongside the sniper. This weapon is ideally suited for any type of gunfight, which narrows down a majority of the choices to an assault rifle. In Season 4 of Warzone, there’s one underrated weapon that sniper players should consider using on their loadout as a support option.
Best sniper support loadout in Warzone
This loadout comes from Warzone expert JGOD, who pinpointed one Vanguard gun, the Nikita AVT, as the best choice for sniper loadouts. The YouTuber also laid out which sniper he thinks would pair nicely with the Nikita. That sniper is the ZRG 20mm, a Black Ops Cold War sniper that is proficient at longer ranges due to its slower mobility.
Players can see the Nikita AVT and ZRG 20mm loadouts from JGOD below.
- Muzzle: Wrapped Suppressor
- Barrel: 43.9″ Combat Recon
- Laser: SWAT 5mw Laser Sight
- Rear Grip: Serpent Wrap
- Magazine: 5 Rnd
- Muzzle: Mercury Silencer
- Barrel: Kovalevskaya 546MM Sr
- Optic: Slate Reflector
- Stock: ZAC Padded
- Underbarrel: M1930 Strife Angled
- Ammunition: Hollow Point
- Rear Grip: Taped Grip
- Magazine: 6.5 Sakura 60 Rnd Drum
- Perk: Brace
- Perk2: On-Hand
The reason behind the Nikita AVT as the sniper support choice is because it can excel in a number of situations. The rifle has a fast enough fire rate to compete at close range while also having a strong damage range and recoil control to excel at longer ranges. The ZRG 20mm is really only usable at long-range due to its slow mobility and high damage output. Also, the ZRG is one of the only snipers in Season 4 that can kill in one headshot, making it the ideal sniper to use in general.
