The best Ratt loadout in Call of Duty: Vanguard

One of the strongest secondary options in multiplayer

The Ratt is the first secondary pistol that players unlock in Call of Duty: Vanguard multiplayer. This doesn’t take away from its strength, though, as it’s currently considered the best secondary option in the game. While pistols like the Top Break have some crazy loadouts, the Ratt is a consistent pistol that any player can use and use well. This is made even easier by equipping the Ratt’s recommended loadout in Vanguard.

At its core, the Ratt is a standard pistol that the Call of Duty series has featured many times. It’s a semi-automatic pistol that fires decently fast with a solid damage range for a gun of its size. However, if players want to turn the Ratt into more than just a reliable option in the secondary slot, they need to ensure they’re using its best loadout in Vanguard multiplayer.

The stats that players will want to focus on with the Ratt’s best loadout are damage range and accuracy. Other stats, like mobility, don’t truly matter with a secondary, since players won’t be running around with it much in Vanguard. That could change once Warzone Pacific releases but, for now, the Ratt just needs a few specific attachments.

  • Muzzle: No. 3 Rifle Brake
  • Barrel: Empress 129MM B03TT
  • Trigger Action: Rapid Action
  • Magazine: .45 ACP 9 Round Mags
  • Ammo Type: Lengthened
  • Rear Grip: Stippled Grip
  • Proficiency: Fleet
  • Kit: Quick

The loadout begins with two attachments to greatly increase the Ratt’s damage. The Empress 129MM B03TT barrel and .45 ACP 9 Round Mags both increase damage range, with the magazine also improving overall damage and penetration.

The magazine also diminishes recoil, though, so players will want to equip the No. 3 Rifle Brake and Stippled Grip to bring it back to normal. The final noteworthy attachment is the Rapid Action, which lets players shoot the Ratt even quicker to surprise enemies in Vanguard.
