The MG 82 has suffered a small fall from grace in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5. After its arrival in Season 4, Raven Software nerfed the light machine gun on June 22. Since then, it hasn’t necessarily been the same in Warzone. However, despite suffering a setback, its loadout still remains one of the best options in the LMG category.
Though guns like the Stoner 63 have caught up with the MG 82, players can still use the weapon to great success in Season 5. It possesses impressive mobility for an LMG, on top of being deadly accurate with decent damage range. Of course, that accuracy was one of the main stats nerfed back on June 22. So, the MG 82’s recommended loadout in Warzone has been updated to reflect those changes.
Best MG 82 loadout in Warzone
There are three total attachments on the MG 82’s recommended loadout that help with accuracy and recoil control. This is somewhat standard in Warzone, but the MG 82 needs these to be considered viable in Season 5. Without them, players will be pulling down on the aim quite a bit. The loadout also includes attachments to boost damage range, bullet velocity and mobility.
- Muzzle: Agency Suppressor
- Barrel: 17.1″ Match Grade
- Optic: Axial Arms 3x
- Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip
- Ammunition: Fast Mag
Starting out with the accuracy-boosting attachments, the Agency Suppressor is at the top of the loadout. This attachment is as common as they come, as it increases damage range, recoil control and it suppresses fire. Following the suppressor is the 17.1″ Match Grade barrel, which boosts damage range, recoil control and bullet velocity.
The final accuracy attachment is the Field Agent Grip, which significantly increases vertical and horizontal recoil control. The last two attachments on the MG 82 loadout are the Axial Arms 3x scope and the Fast Mag. For the scope, players need a solid zoom to make sure they hit any enemies at longer ranges, which is where they need to be with this LMG. The Fast Mag allows players to get off a quick reload but it sacrifices any extra ammunition.
This MG 82 loadout isn’t what it used to be in Warzone, but it’s still solid in Season 5.
