The best M4 loadout for CDL Moshpit in Modern Warfare 2

The best overall gun for CDL Moshpit

If players have paid any attention to competitive play in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 thus far, they’ll know that the M4 is the most dominant gun used by professional players. While the Vaznev-9K is used by some submachine gun players, a majority of them actually use the M4 due to how versatile it is. For players looking to get into the CDL Moshpit playlist in Modern Warfare 2, they’ll certainly want to know the best loadout for the M4.

The M4’s loadout for competitive play changes slightly compared to casual play. Players will want to ensure that all of the pertinent stats are boosted while not reducing any additional stats too heavily. At the end of the attachment selection, players will have created an all-around loadout for the M4 that can challenge any other gun in MW2. They’ll also level the playing field for themselves in CDL Moshpit against others using the same loadout.

Best M4 loadout for CDL Moshpit

This loadout for the M4 will slightly differ from the one used by professional players. However, that’s only due to the fact that pros have banned certain attachments amongst themselves. The official CDL ruleset has not banned those attachments, though, making them free to use for CDL Moshpit players.

  • Barrel: Hightower 20″ Barrel
  • Underbarrel: Merc Foregrip
  • Ammunition: 5.56 High Velocity
  • Stock: Tempus P80 Strike Stock
  • Rear Grip: XTEN Grip

This M4 loadout is more tailored to aggressive players, as the Tempus P80 Strike Stock and the XTEN Grip increase overall mobility and reduce accuracy. If players want to play slower with the M4, they can replace those attachments with accuracy-focused ones. The rest of the loadout is perfectly in line with what pros use, except for the Merc Foregrip. Pros deemed it too overpowered due to the added hip-fire accuracy gained from the attachment. CDL Moshpit does not restrict it, though, so we can take full advantage of it.
