The best Lachmann 762 loadout in MW2

A necessary evil in MW2

The Lachmann 762 is one of the several battle rifles available in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Over the course of the game’s life cycle, it hasn’t seen much use due to it being a little difficult to use and other rifles being far stronger. However, with the right loadout, the Lachmann 762 might surprise you and your enemies in MW2.

While the Lachmann 762 isn’t a horrible gun by any means, it can be infuriating to use in a competitive multiplayer match. The gun fires extremely slowly and it has a vertical recoil that is difficult to manage. All of these negatives make the Lachmann 762 one of the harder weapons to use, especially on smaller maps where you can get killed in one second by a strong submachine gun or assault rifle. With the proper set of attachments, the Lachmann 762 can compete much better with those top-tier weapons.

To see the full loadout for the Lachmann 762 in MW2, keep reading below.

Best Lachmann 762 loadout in MW2

  • Muzzle: Sakin Tread-40 Comp
  • Barrel: LM Aurora 90 Barrel
  • Optic: Cronen Mini Red Dot
  • Underbarrel: VX Pineapple Vert Grip
  • Magazine: 30 Round Mag

The overall goal of this loadout is to increase the Lachmann 762’s overall recoil control and damage range. The Sakin Tread-40 Comp muzzle decreases recoil while the LM Aurora 90 Barrel provides a nice boost to damage range, movement speed, and overall mobility. The VX Pineapple Vert Grip also gives the Lachmann 762 some extra recoil control.

Rounding things out is the 30 Round Mag, which allows you to not have to worry so much about reloading, and the Cronen Mini Red Dot is a perfect optic for any rifle. Of course, if you’re planning to use the Lachamnn 762 at farther distances, you likely want to throw on a longer range scope.

As a final note, you can use the Lachmann 762 in the new Modern Warfare 3 and use this same loadout to great effect. However, you will need to change most of the rest of the class, as the perks have been entirely changed in the new multiplayer title. You can still use the same lethal or tactical as well as a similar secondary weapon. Of course, I suggest using some of the new content first so you can experience some of the fresh items in MW3.
