The best Lachmann 762 loadout in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 beta

One of the few battle rifles in the beta

There are some weapons in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer beta that players are more or less forced to use. The way the Gunsmith works in MW2 has players unlocking weapons by using other guns in that specific Weapon Platform. So, for example, in order to unlock the Lachmann Sub, which many believe to be the best gun in the beta, players need to use both the Lachmann 762 and Lachmann 556 first. While some players might simply use these guns to get to the Sub, they might find the guns aren’t bad themselves. For players who might want to stick with the Lachmann 762, they should use the best loadout for it in Modern Warfare 2.

Early on in the second weekend of the beta, the Lachmann 762 has either been hated or loved by players. It’s classified as a battle rifle, meaning that it’s primarily a semi-automatic weapon. If players like that type of weapon, they’ll presumably enjoy the Lachmann 762. However, if you’re more of a fully-auto person, then the battle rifle won’t be for you. Either way, players who want to use the Lachmann 762 to its fullest potential should equip its best set of attachments in the beta.

  • Muzzle: Sakin Tread-40 Comp
  • Barrel: Romeo FT 16″ Barrel
  • Underbarrel: VX Pineapple Vert Grip
  • Magazine: 30-Round Mag
  • Rear Grip: Lachmann TCG-10
  • Receiver: LM-KG

The overall goal of this loadout is to give the Lachmann 762 more recoil control, magazine capacity and damage range. One of the battle rifle’s biggest issues is that it can kick up quite a bit, so players can use several attachments to bring that kick down. Increasing the magazine size by 10 bullets is also key, as players can now take on more enemies without having to reload.
