In the beginning of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, the KSP 45 submachine gun was seen as a gimmick weapon. It was Treyarch’s standard bust SMG, which most players usually toss aside before they’ve even played a match. However, as time went on and updates rolled in, players began to take notice of the KSP. Now, in Season 4, it’s seen as one of the best guns in all of multiplayer.
The KSP 45 is a three-round burst SMG that has a deadly damage profile in Cold War. If players can land all of the shots in one burst, they can take down an enemy with that burst alone. Certain ranges come into play but from close to medium-range, the KSP is an absolute monster that can shred through enemy teams.
Of course, this onslaught is only helped by equipping the correct loadout for the SMG.
Best KSP 45 loadout in Black Ops Cold War
There aren’t many downsides to using the KSP 45 in Cold War. If there was one, though, it would be the fact that it takes some time to get used to the three-round burst nature of the gun. This, paired with the KSP’s natural recoil, gives players some trouble when first using it.
With the right loadout equipped, this recoil is reduced to almost zero and the KSP is even more deadly.

For use at any range, the 10.2″ Rifled barrel modestly increases damage range without carrying a huge negative. As for recoil, the trusty Field Agent Foregrip makes an appearance to reduce both vertical and horizontal recoil. Finally, the 45 Rnd Drum is to ensure that players don’t run out of bullets too quickly while shredding enemies with this dominant KSP 45 loadout in Cold War.
