No other weapon class in Call of Duty: Warzone presents more viable options than the SMG category. Featuring weapons like the MP5, AK74u, LC10 and MAC-10, nearly every SMG in the battle royale is advantageous in its own way. While some are certainly popular and stronger than others, this doesn’t mean that something like the ISO should be overlooked in Warzone.
The ISO was a DLC weapon in Modern Warfare that made its way into Warzone in August of 2020. Since its release, the compact SMG has never made too big of an impact in the battle royale. However, it features a terrific fire rate and damage, making it an interesting option for players who want a change of scenery.
Best ISO loadout in Warzone
The fast-firing, quick-killing role in the SMG class is currently occupied by the MAC-10. This is arguably the best SMG in Warzone, making a weapon like the ISO not even in contention when players are designing their loadouts.
However, in the right hands, the Warzone ISO can be just as effective as the MAC-10 with the right loadout.

- Stock:Â ISO Collapsible
- Underbarrel:Â Merc Foregrip
- Ammunition:Â 50 Round Drums
The ISO’s bread and butter are close-range gunfights that take advantage of its fast fire rate. The Tac Laser increases hip-fire accuracy and ADS time. The ISO Collapsible Stock increasing sprint-to-fire time. Both of these features are vital in this regard.
Next up, the FSS Nightshade barrel gives the ISO a suppressor. It also increases damage range, bullet velocity and stabilizes recoil. It’s the jack-of-all-trades of attachments that’s become so popular. The loadout is completed by the Merc Foregrip, further stabilizing recoil and the 50 Round Drums, giving the ISO some extra bullets to play with in Warzone.
This loadout might surprise some players and could become a direct competitor to the MAC-10.
