The best Groza loadout in Black Ops Cold War Season One

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

The Groza is the newest assault rifle in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Introduced with Season One, this weapon is unlocked at tier 31 of the Battle Pass. Although it might take some time to reach, most players can achieve this with a week or so of playing. Of course, whenever you do reach the required tier, you’ll need to level it up just like any other weapon. While you can just throw any attachments you unlock on the Groza, there’s one loadout we recommend above all others.

Since the Groza has been introduced with Season One, the community can’t really figure out its place in the meta. On one hand, it’s a fast-firing assault rifle with decent mobility. However, it also features some moderate recoil and not-so-impressive range.

It is a rifle though, so players have been using it from farther ranges. Unfortunately, the Groza doesn’t excel at longer range. Another unfortunate tick on the Groza’s resume is that it can’t really compete with SMGs up close, putting it in a state of flux within the meta.

Do you use it as a traditional AR at medium to long-range or try running around the map getting into close quarters engagements? The answer is personal preference, but we’ve found that striking a balance between the two is the way to go. The recommended Groza loadout complements both close and long-range statistics, allowing you to play both ways.

  • Optic: Microflex LED
  • Muzzle: Muzzle Brake 7.62
  • Barrel: 16.7 VDV Reinforced
  • Underbarrel: Spetsnaz Grip
  • Stock: KGB Pad

This loadout features some decreases to the Groza’s overall recoil as well as buffing its proficiency at close range. While it’s still difficult to use as a standard AR, you should have fewer problems hitting targets past 30 meters.

That’s the best Groza loadout! Make sure to stay tuned to Daily Esports for all Call of Duty news.
