As of right now, there are only two submachine guns that players can use in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer beta. One of those is the Lachmann Sub, which actually wasn’t even supposed to be usable but players found a bug to equip it. The other SMG is the FSS Hurricane, which presents its own challenges when trying to unlock it. Once players have managed to unlock the FSS Hurricane, they can equip its best loadout for the Modern Warfare 2 beta.
In order to unlock the FSS Hurricane, players first need to rank the base M4 assault rifle up to level 12. Then, they need to equip the FTAC Recon Receiver, making the gun a semi-auto Battle Rifle. Using the FTAC Recon, players need to rank that up to level 16, at which point they will unlock the FSS Hurricane Receiver. Players can now equip that, and they’ll be using the SMG.
It’s a long and convoluted process, but players can essentially unlock the Hurricane in a few matches. After this happens, players can rank the SMG up and eventually equip its best set of attachments.
Best FSS Hurricane loadout in Modern Warfare 2
The FSS Hurricane can either be used as a long-range or a close-range weapon. Its versatility from being in the M4 Platform gives players some freedom in how they approach gunfights. The recommended loadout for the FSS Hurricane allows players to use it any fashion they see fit.
- Muzzle: XTEN Razor Comp
- Barrel: FSS Cannonade 16″ Barrel
- Underbarrel: XV Pineapple Vert Grip
- Stock: Demo Fade Pro Stock
- Rear Grip: Sakin 7x Grip
- Receiver: FSS Hurricane
This loadout gives players some extra damage range from the FSS Cannonade 16″ Barrel, added mobility courtesy of the Sakin 7x Grip, and better recoil control thanks to the XTEN Razor Comp, Demo Fade Pro Stock, and XV Pineapple Vert Grip. Players really can use the FSS Hurricane however they choose with this specific loadout. Of course, this is just for the beta so this loadout will presumably change when the full game comes out in October.
