The best FFAR loadout in Black Ops Cold War Season 3

This AR features a blazing quick fire rate and solid damage

The FFAR has been on a rollercoaster during the life cycle of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Treyarch seemingly decides to change aspects of the assault rifle in every season, switching up the recommended set of attachments. The same rings true now, in Season 3, as the developers have added some extra benefits to the FFAR.

Always considered a solid weapon, the FFAR is a popular choice among players who don’t conform to the traditional style of ARs. It features a blazing quick fire rate paired with solid damage. However, its recoil is a problem. For this reason, some players have found designing a loadout to be difficult.

The recoil might be an issue on the FFAR but there’s no problem that specific attachments can’t fix. These attachments turn the weapon into a steady workhorse that should serve players well throughout Black Ops Cold War.

However, the real kicker of the loadout concerns the buffs that the FFAR received in Season 3; two magazine attachments and one barrel. The top loadout now utilizes these newly buffed attachments along with others to help with the aforementioned high recoil.

  • Muzzle: Infantry Compensator
  • Barrel: 19.5″ Task Force
  • Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip
  • Magazine: 38 RND Speed Mag
  • Stock: Raider Stock

The loadout somewhat resembles the recommended loadout from Season 2, with some key differences. The Infantry Compensator, Field Agent Grip and Raider Stock are all still in place, though. The former two greatly reduce the gun’s recoil while the latter improves the sprint-to-fire time by 30%.

As for the new attachments, the 19.5″ Task Force barrel is in use, as it was buffed in Season 3. In addition to providing extra damage, range and bullet velocity, the barrel’s added recoil is reduced by 10%. This is easily made up by other attachments, warranting the barrel’s use.

Finally, the 38 RND Speed Mag was also buffed to offer four extra bullets and decrease the ADS time by a small amount. This magazine is now the better choice over the standard 34 RND Mag.
