The Modern Warfare weapons certainly received their fair share of love in the Season 5 update of Call of Duty: Warzone. After giving the Grau 5.56 assault rifle a significant buff, the developers also chose to let some of the submachine guns in on the fun. The Fennec, one of the fastest-killing weapons in all of Warzone, also received a buff in Season 5, which has brought its loadout back into the spotlight.

The Fennec has never truly been one of the top submachine guns in modern Warzone. However, it was one of the best SMGs for a brief spell after it was released as a DLC weapon in 2020. Since then, other guns have come and gone to replace the Fennec, which boasts one of the best fire rates out of any weapon. Even with this stat, though, players have rarely used the Fennec in their loadouts. That might change now with the Fennec’s recent buff in Season 5, which is as follows:

  • Neck Damage Multiplier increased to 1.4, up from 1.01
  • Leg and Foot Damage Multiplier increased to 1.0, up from 0.9

The neck damage multiplier is the buff to keep an eye on, as the Fennec can now kill much faster if players aim for an enemy’s upper body. Still, players will need to use the Fennec’s best slate of attachments if they want to maximize their success with the SMG.

To see the full loadout for the Fennec in Warzone Season 5, keep reading below.

Best Fennec loadout in Warzone

  • Barrel: ZLR 18″ Deadfall
  • Laser: Tac Laser
  • Perk: Sleight of Hand
  • Underbarrel: Operator Foregrip
  • Ammunition: 40 Round Drum Mags

The Fennec has a built-in suppressor, so there’s no need to use the Monolithic Suppressor. Instead, players can equip the Tac Laser and Sleight of Hand to greatly improve their mobility and reload speed. These attachments are paired with the Operator Foregrip for extra recoil control and the ZLR 18″ Deadfall barrel for added damage range. Paired with the damage buff the Fennec received in Season 5, this barrel will now allow players to kill enemies even quicker.

It remains to be seen whether or not the Fennec will break into the SMG meta of Warzone, but this loadout gives it the best chance.
