The Season 2 Reloaded update recently went live in Call of Duty: Warzone and delivered a plethora of changes. While the alterations to Rebirth Island and the new Armaguerra 43 SMG are the headlines for the update, there was also some changes that flew under the radar. This includes a buff to Vanguard shotguns, which has made the Double Barrel shotgun a new monster on the map. The buff has enabled players to create a new loadout for the shotgun, utilizing the gun’s infamous akimbo attachment.

In the early days of Warzone Pacific, the akimbo Double Barrel shotguns were among the deadliest weapons in the game. Then, Raven Software nerfed the weapon and the attachment, making players abandon their Double Barrel loadout in Warzone. However, with the new Season 2 buff, the Double Barrels might be back in full force.

The full Season 2 Reloaded Double Barrel loadout is viewable below.

Best Double Barrel loadout in Warzone

For players that used the Double Barrel shotguns in Season 1 of Warzone Pacific, this loadout will look familiar. The akimbo attachment is the centerpiece, but it also utilizes some new attachments to make it a viable option in Season 2.

  • Muzzle: M97 Choke
  • Barrel: Sawed-Off
  • Optic: SVT-40 PU Scope 3-6x
  • Stock: Removed Stock
  • Magazine: None
  • Ammunition: Buck and Slug
  • Rear Grip: Pine Tar Grip
  • Perk 1: Akimbo
  • Perk 2: Quick

The biggest selling points of the loadout are the Sawed-Off barrel, Buck and Slug ammunition and the SVT-40 PU Scope 3-6x. These attachments help the akimbo Double Barrel shotguns deal more damage while also increasing its accuracy. Pair those attachments with the Removed Stock for better mobility and the M97 Choke for a tighter pellet spread and you can dominate with these weapons at close-range.

This Double Barrel loadout is perfect for the newly revamped Rebirth Island. Players will find themselves downing enemies in just a couple of shots, making this loadout one of the most powerful in Season 2.
