The Cronen Squall is one of the brand new weapons in Season 3 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.
It is unlocked via the Battle Pass and is classified as a battle rifle. When players first unlock the Cronen Squall and begin using it, they will find that it is a fully-automatic weapon by default. However, it can also be switched to a more traditional semi-auto firing mode as well. This might confuse some Modern Warfare 2 players when trying to craft a loadout for the Cronen Squall, as both firing modes need to be kept in mind.
Luckily, the Cronen Squall has a solid amount of attachments that allow it to be a threat in either mode. However, players should be wary of using the new battle rifle at close range. It’s much better suited for long range engagements, which is what players should remember when they are creating its loadout.
Of course, you can always follow our loadout for the Cronen Squall, which will have you firing on all cylinders in MW2.
Best Cronen Squall loadout in Modern Warfare 2
- Muzzle: SA Leveler 55
- Barrel: LR6.8 22″
- Optic: AIM OP-V4
- Stock: B66 Pad
- Rear Grip: XTEN Grip
This loadout for the Cronen Squall is meant to even out its weaknesses while maximizing its strengths. The SA Leveler 55 immediately improves its recoil control while the LR6.8 22″ barrel increases damage range and recoil control. The AIM OP-V4 is a fantastic mid-long range scope while the B66 Pad further improves accuracy. Finally, the XTEN Grip gives a slight boost to aim down sight speed and sprint-to-fire time, allowing the Cronen Squall to stand a chance against some faster weapons.
If you have also unlocked the FJX Imperium sniper, you can see its best loadout in MW2 in a previous guide.
