The best CR-56 AMAX loadout in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5

Over the course of Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5, Raven Software introduced a flurry of weapon nerfs and buffs. At the heart of this weapon balancing has been the assault rifle class. From the Krig 6 to the Cold War AK-47, it seems like nothing in the class is safe from an alteration. However, one gun that hasn’t really received a change is the CR-56 AMAX, which features an attractive loadout for fans looking at other options in Warzone.

At the start of Season 5 and with the Reloaded update, the AMAX was pegged as a potential meta weapon. However, other weapons, like the XM4, rose above it to garner more of the player base’s attention. Now, with fans always looking for the next meta weapon, the CR-56 AMAX has re-entered the conversation along with its tried and true loadout.

Best CR-56 AMAX loadout in Warzone

For fans of the M4A1 assault rifle in Warzone, the recommended loadout for the CR-56 AMAX is going to look awfully familiar. Since both are Modern Warfare rifles and have similar attachments, their loadouts look eerily similar. However, there’s one key difference that players will need to be aware of before simply copying and pasting the M4A1 loadout.

• Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
• Barrel: XRK Zodiac S440
• Optic: VLK 3.0x Optic
• Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip
• Ammunition: 45 Round Mags

The one major difference with the CR-56 AMAX loadout is the barrel attachment. The XRK Zodiac S440 barrel increases damage range and bullet velocity and also reduces recoil. This is also true of the Monolithic Suppressor, which adds the suppression mechanic as well.

The rest of the loadout is pretty much identical to other AR loadouts in Warzone. The VLK 3.0x optic is the best option for rifles, the Commando Foregrip provides additional recoil control and the 45 Round Mags are a safety net for longer gunfights. This CR-56 AMAX loadout will steer players right in Season 5 of Warzone.
