Over the past two years, the majority of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare weapons have been left behind in the Warzone meta. Either players use weapons from Black Ops Cold War or, more commonly, weapons from Vanguard, the newest integrated title. However, there are still some gems to be found from the first multiplayer game in Warzone. The CR-56 AMAX can be a terrific loadout option for players looking to use a submachine gun/assault rifle hybrid on the Rebirth Island map in Warzone.
Traditionally, the AMAX has been used as a standard assault rifle to take down enemies from medium to long range. Although, with a few tweaks to its set of attachments, players can transform this assault rifle into a close-range beast that can take on any submachine gun or shotgun that comes its way. Players will need to sacrifice some of the gun’s long range capabilities in order to achieve this build, though. Of course, while playing on Rebirth Island, players don’t usually need something too adept at long range encounters.

Best CR-56 AMAX loadout in Warzone
As players would expect, this CR-56 AMAX tries to improve mobility as much as possible. The more mobile players are, the higher the chance they can eliminate an opponent in a close range gunfight. This loadout isn’t without some medium-range attachments, though.
- Muzzle:Â Monolithic Suppressor
- Laser:Â Tac Laser
- Stock:Â No Stock
- Underbarrel:Â Merc Foregrip
- Magazine:Â 45 Round Mags
As always, the Monolithic Suppressor kicks things off. This muzzle suppresses shots and also improves the AMAX’s recoil control. Moving on, the next three attachments all help with mobility. The Tac Laser improves hip-fire accuracy, No Stock boosts sprint-to-fire time and the Merc Foregrip increases the gun’s overall movement. The 45 Round Mags top things off to make this CR-56 AMAX loadout lethal at close range in Warzone Season 3.
