The best competitive class set-ups for Black Ops Cold War

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has a few different layers to it besides what’s readily seen. Some players create their own challenges within either Zombies or Multiplayer. Others simply do what’s in front of them and progress through the game like normal. However, there’s another section of the player base that takes things to another level. The competitive side of Call of Duty is continually growing with every new franchise entry. If you’re already a part of the competitive scene or are looking to get into it, there are a couple of classes you should be using to gain an edge over your opponent.

What class should you use in competitive Black Ops Cold War?

As of right now, the competitive side of Black Ops Cold War mainly focuses on Search and Destroy. While both Hardpoint and Control are a part of the scene, S&D is always the craze whenever a new title releases. As such, the recommended classes will be centered around that particular game mode.

At the time of writing, the two best guns in competitive are the MP5 submachine gun and FFAR 1 assault rifle. Though some use the AK-47, the FFAR 1 is the dominant AR right now. Since these are the two best weapons, we’ll be listing one class for each of them.
