The best Cold War MP5 loadout in Warzone Season 4 Reloaded

The MP5 is still a top-performing SMG

On Wednesday, the Season 4 Reloaded update went live in Call of Duty: Warzone. The update introduces a tremendous amount of change into the game. From new game modes to weapon balancing updates to fresh weapons, Warzone players have plenty to do and explore. One of the new features that Raven Software added with the update that might go under the radar is adding a “Recommended” tag to weapons that are currently in the meta. This makes it easier to navigate the 200+ weapons that Warzone currently has. While players can pick from these weapons, one gun that might not be marked as recommended is the Black Ops Cold War MP5. Even though it’s not tagged, Warzone players should still give the Cold War MP5 and its top loadout a try in Season 4 Reloaded.

The Cold War MP5 was the king of the SMG class for quite some time during last year’s seasons. However, when Vanguard arrived, it was quickly displaced by that game’s SMGs, leaving it in the basement of the class. Although other weapons are stronger, the Cold War MP5 still has a loadout that can dominate in Warzone.

Unlike the Modern Warfare MP5, the Cold War version has a faster fire rate. This gives it the edge on smaller maps like Fortune’s Keep and Rebirth Island. Players can also use some attachments to increase its damage range, mobility, and recoil control.

  • Muzzle: Agency Suppressor
  • Laser: Tiger Team Spotlight
  • Stock: Raider Stock
  • Underbarrel: Brusier Grip
  • Ammunition: STANAG 50 Rnd

Mobility is the main stat increased with this loadout, as players need it to compete with the faster Vanguard SMGs. However, damage range and recoil control are also boosted with the Agency Suppressor. This is a great all-around loadout that can still excel in Warzone.
