Over the course of the last week, several assault rifles in Call of Duty: Warzone have seen massive nerfs. The Krig 6, FARA 83 and more have now fallen out of favor, paving the way for a new AR to enter the meta. It seems like the Cold War AK-47 is one of the prime candidates to fill that role with its always-strong loadout.
The Cold War AK-47 has been in the meta and was then promptly thrown out of it when a new update arrives. It’s usually not affected by the massive AR nerfs in Warzone, meaning its recommended loadout hasn’t ever been altered too much. This gives players a deadly weapon when trying to figure out the new meta in Season 5 Reloaded.
Best Cold War AK-47 loadout in Warzone
The biggest attribute the Cold War Ak-47 loadout possesses in Warzone is its balanced nature. It can be used at medium to long-range with great effect but can also compete with submachine guns at close range. This is also something the QBZ-83 excels at, which is likely the AK-47’s biggest competitor in the meta.
However, it can be argued that the Cold War AK-47 has a better loadout in Season 5 Reloaded.
- Muzzle: GRU Suppressor
- Barrel: 20” Spetsnaz RPK Barrel
- Optic: Axial Arms 3x
- Underbarrel: Spetsnaz Grip
- Ammunition: 45 Rnd
This is the same loadout that AK-47 fans have been running on the weapon since early 2021. It hasn’t changed much but it’s still as dominant as ever in Warzone. The GRU Suppressor and Spetsnaz RPK barrel give the AK-47 some much-needed damage range along with added recoil control and bullet velocity.
The final three attachments on the loadout are as common as it gets for ARs in Warzone. The Axial Arms 3x is the best scope for rifles, the Spetsnaz Grip offers extra recoil control and the 45 RND provides 15 more bullets in each clip without negatively affecting the rest of the loadout. The Cold War AK-47 is in consideration for the top gun of the Warzone Season 5 Reloaded meta.
