Call of Duty
At the tail end of Season 5 of Call of Duty: Warzone, the Cold War AK-47 was considered the top assault rifle in the game. When Season 6 began, that same sentiment rang true, as no nerfs or buffs came down to change this meta too significantly. While weapons like the Grau 5.56 have risen in popularity since this Warzone season started, the Cold War AK-47 is still the top dog.
The Cold War AK-47 is still strong in Warzone because of how versatile it is. The AR can be a beast at medium to long-range, like its counterparts in Warzone, but it’s also mobile enough to compete with SMGs at close-range. The AK-47’s fire rate is also up to par with some of the SMGs in Warzone, which is further increased with its recommended loadout.
Best Cold War AK-47 loadout in Warzone
For fans unfamiliar with the Cold War AK-47, its loadout hasn’t changed much since Black Ops Cold War and Warzone integrated in December of 2020. Of course, this is due to how strong the weapon has remained in Warzone. Fans can see its resilient loadout below.
- Muzzle: GRU Suppressor
- Barrel: 20″ Spetsnaz RPK Barrel
- Optic: Axial Arms 3x
- Underbarrel: Spetsnaz Grip
- Ammunition: 45 Round Mag
The biggest attachment on this loadout is the 20″ Spetsnaz RPK Barrel. Not only does it improve the AK-47’s bullet velocity, but also its damage range and recoil control. Add the GRU Suppressor to the mix and this AR is firing quickly with high damage and almost no recoil.
To further help with recoil control, the Spetsnaz Grip is also in use. Rounding out the loadout is the Axial Arms 3x scope for mid-long range gunfights and the 45 Round Mag, so players don’t run out of bullets too quickly. This is far and away the best AR loadout in Season 6 of Warzone.
