The meta of Call of Duty: Warzone was recently changed in Season 4 after developer Raven Software released a new weapon balancing patch. While not much was drastically changed, there was enough in the update to make players question if the top guns in the game are still usable. Most notably, Raven targeted the NZ-41 in the update; the gun wasn’t altered much, but players who are now put off by the assault rifle might want to look somewhere else to fill their loadouts. The Automaton might just be the perfect loadout replacement for players looking to make that switch in Warzone Season 4.
Compared to the NZ-41, the Automaton has an inferior damage range. However, the Auto’s fire rate is much faster and its recoil control is right on par with the NZ-41, so players might not notice much of a difference when using the Automaton compared to the NZ-41. Of course, if players truly want to make the Automaton work in meta, they’ll need to use its best loadout in Warzone.

Best Automaton loadout in Warzone
The main recommended loadout for the Automaton throws mobility out the window in favor of boosting damage range and recoil control. Players won’t want to use this loadout in close-range, to say the least; instead, they’ll want to keep the Automaton at long-range and let a secondary SMG take care of any closer gunfights.
