The best Ashika Island loadout for Warzone 2 Season 2

The new Resurgence map needs a dominant loadout

Ashika Island is the brand new Resurgence map in Call of Duty: Warzone 2 that fans have been waiting for since the battle royale initially launched back in November of 2022. While Al Mazrah is a fine map on its own, there’s nothing like playing on a fast-paced, action-packed small map with Resurgence rules in place. As such, Ashika Island has been extremely popular since its release in Season 2, and players are wondering what loadout they should be using on it.

A player’s loadout for any Resurgence map is vital. Players need a loadout with both a long-range and close-range weapon, as you never know what kind of gunfight you’re going to get into at any minute. While players might of had an idea of what to use before Season 2 began, there were a ton of weapon changes in the weapon balancing update. Has this changed the recommended loadout for Ashika Island in Warzone 2? Keep reading below to find out.

While the Season 2 weapon changes were significant for some guns, they weren’t for the main meta weapons in the RPK and Fennec 45. However, we feel that the Fennec 45 might not be the best pick for Ashika Island, as its mid-range capabilities aren’t as strong as something like the Lachmann Sub.

Ashika Island RPK loadout

  • Muzzle: Zulu-60
  • Underbarrel: FTAC Ripper 56
  • Optic: Aim Op-V4
  • Rear Grip: Demo-X2 Grip
  • Ammunition: 7.62 High Velocity

Ashika Island Lachmann Sub

  • Muzzle: Lockshot KT85
  • Barrel: L38 Falcon 226mm
  • Laser: VLK LZR 7mw
  • Stock: LM Stockless Mod
  • Magazine: 40 Round Mag

With the RPK, players have a balanced long-range weapon that can down enemies from any distance. The Lachmann Sub is a great pairing since it can dominate in both close-range and mid-range, allowing players some freedom in what gun they use for any situation.
