The Gaming Stadium (TGS) has announced a brand new gaming convention in Vancouver called The Gaming Experience (TGX). Additionally, they can enjoy game studio showcases, an artist alley, retro arcade, vendors and interactive VR exhibitions.

Also coming by TGX will be Capcom’s Pro Tour, so Street Fighter V will be the main event of TGX. Ticket information for TGX is not yet publicly available. However, the event will take place from Sept. 18 to 20 in the West Exhibition Hall at the Vancouver Convention Centre.

What TGS expects at the TGX convention

Since 2018, TGS has been striving towards growing and expanding its events. This year, TGX taking place at the Vancouver Convention Centre is being highlighted as a milestone for the company. Spiro Khouri, TGS’ CEO, commented on the event’s move to the Convention Centre in a statement.

When we started running events as TGS in 2018, our goal was always to host the largest esports and gaming convention Vancouver has seen. Our crown jewel for location has always been the Vancouver Convention Centre, and to be able to make this a reality is exciting, to say the least.

Meanwhile, Pinnacle is noted as Vancouver’s largest set of gaming tournaments. During Pinnacle 2019, over 800 competitors fought for a slice of the $20,000 prize pool, a turnout that doubled after Pinnacle 2018. Prior to 2020, Pinnacle took place at the River Rock Casino Resort in Richmond, British Columbia.

Therefore, TGS expects a significant amount of gamers to show up. Gamers will be able to participate in tournaments for CSGO, Tekken 7, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Street Fighter V,  and many more console and PC games. The video below offers highlights from events TGS held during 2019.
