Immortals Kenvi

Sources: Immortals sign Kenvi until 2024

He will be replacing former Immortals jungler Xerxe

Jungler Shane Kenneth “Kenvi” Espinoza signed with Immortals until the end of 2024, sources told Upcomer on Thursday. He will compete in the League of Legends Championship Series this summer. Kenvi’s signing was first reported by blix.gg.

Kenvi is a player that grew quickly in the North American scene. At first, he was acquired by 100 Thieves Next, an amateur team, in 2021. The following summer split, 100 Thieves promoted him to their Academy team. In 2022, Kenvi and 100T Academy finished second place at the LCS Spring Proving Grounds.

Many North American teams were eyeing Kenvi for their potential future LCS rosters. Locking Kenvi in now is a big acquisition for Immortals.

Immortals, who finished 10th in the LCS spring split, have brought in a couple other new talents as well. Bot laner Lawrence “Lost” Sze Yuy Hui and support Lee “IgNar” Dong-geun also signed with the team.

Lost was acquired by Immortals via a player trade with Golden Guardians and not a buyout, sources told Upcomer following a report on him signing with the organization. Immortals sent top laner Michael “Concept” Su to Golden Guardians Academy as a player-trade.

With top laner Mohamed “Revenge” Kaddoura, Lost and Kenvi, Immortals are building a young core of North American residents. IgNar and mid laner Tristan “PowerOfEvil” Schrage, who is also staying with the team, will fill up the two import slots for now.

Immortals also considered jungler Dennis “Svenskeren” Johnsen for this position. The Danish jungler is in the process of getting his green card, per sources.
