Immortals have reached an agreement with Golden Guardians in order to buyout bot laner Lawrence “Lost” Sze Yuy Hui, sources tell Upcomer on Monday. Lost will play with Immortals during the League of Legends Championship Series summit split, replacing Noh “Arrow” Dong-hyeon.
After a 10th place finish in the LCS, Immortals are active this offseason. The North American organization already acquired support Lee “IgNar” Dong-geun according to League of Legends insider Alejandro Gomis and confirmed by Upcomer sources.
The team is also expected to make a change in the jungle position, as Andrei “Xerxe” Dragomir is heading to Astralis, according to another report. Mid laner Tristan “PowerOfEvil” Schrage is reportedly remaining with the team.
Lost comes from New Zealand and started his career in the Oceanic region where he earned his first title in 2016. He started playing in North America in 2018 when he joined Echo Fox.
In 2020, Lost joined TSM and played for their academy team. After a year, TSM decided to promote Lost to their main team. With Lost, TSM managed to finish first place during the 2021 summer season. Unfortunately for them, they finished fourth place in playoffs, missing out on the League of Legends World Championship.
After his time with TSM, Lost played for Golden Guardians in the LCS this spring, finishing in sixth place. His contract with the team was set to expire on Nov. 19, 2024, before Immortals bought it out. Golden Guardians will now also need a new bot laner ahead of the upcoming season. As for Immortal’s current bot laner, Arrow, it is unclear where he will be going at this time.
