On Wednesday, Activision teased that more intel on Call of Duty: Vanguard is coming soon and Sledgehammer released a full list of what they’re working on before November 5. The Vanguard open beta has shut down and players now have 44 days, and counting, until full release. That might seem like an eternity but Activision and Sledgehammer Games have given fans something to chew on during this time.

The list of fixes includes changes that the developers have already patched and things that they’re looking into. However, the entire list is based on community feedback received from the open beta. This likely means that many players’ gripes with the game should be resolved by the time the full release comes around.

Fixes Sledgehammer has in the works for Call of Duty Vanguard

Overall, the main complaints from the community during the beta revolved around spawns, audio and visibility. Luckily, all three of these are being looked into or have already been fixed. Sledgehammer released the following list of changes that will come with the full release of Vanguard in November.

  • Nerfing the sun
  • Cracking down on Red Star raves
  • Removing dognados
  • Tuning spawns to avoid Hotel Royal’s murder kitchen
  • Closing open mic lobbies in Search & Destroy

These changes are in a silly tone but do represent serious complaints from the player base. For example, the sun glare on Gavutu was a serious issue that made the map nearly unplayable. However, it seems like Sledgehammer is taking player feedback into account when implementing fixes for Vanguard.

The developers also stated they’re working on some more general changes but these aren’t set in stone yet. The changes include “taking a thorough pass” at weapon balancing, audio mixing and visibility.

Finally, Sledgehammer said that more content is on the way in Vanguard, as expected. The full launch will feature 20 total multiplayer maps, 19 killstreaks, nearly 40 weapons and much more. Fans should see more details arise on the content not seen in the beta in the weeks leading up to November 5.
