Shroomed cruised through much of the bracket unopposed. He advanced out of West Coast pools by beating Leon “yzc6” Zhou 2-0, Robert “Bobby Frizz” Fraser 3-0, and Dat “Dacky” Vo 3-1. Then in Winners Quarters, Shroomed earned a commanding 3-0 victory over Kyle Krudo.

Shroomed’s hot streak continued in top 8, where he defeated Colbol 3-0. To follow this up, he beat SluG 3-1 in Winners Finals. Shroomed lost a five-game set to SluG to kick off Grand Finals. Nevertheless, he followed it up with a 3-0 victory in the second set to win Rollback Rumble: SCL Q2.

Previously, Shroomed qualified for Division 2 of the League at The CLG Mixup. However, he dropped out of the League altogether after losing to Avery “Ginger” Wilson and Dawud “Aklo” Rahman last week. Thanks to his victory at Rollback Rumble: SCL Q2, Shroomed will get to compete in the Slippi Champions League once again.

Other results from Rollback Rumble: SCL Q2

Of the top four players at Rollback Rumble: SCL Q2, SluG was the only one not ranked in the 2019 top 100. Despite this, he scored many impressive wins en route to 2nd place. SluG beat Reece “Golden” Economides, Austin “Reeve” Reed, and Arthur “404Cray” Hernandez prior to top 16. From there, he defeated Joey “Lucky” Aldama, Miles “Soonsay” Foster, moky, and Shroomed.

Finishing in 3rd place was no easy feat for moky. In fact, he lost his very first set of the tournament to Henry “Hank” Latshaw. However, he went on an impressive losers run, overcoming the likes of David “Slowking” Fuentes, Nico “Ryobeat” Rodriguez, and 404Cray. Then in top 16, moky eliminated Kyle “Kalamazhu” Zhu, Shephard “Fiction” Lima, Krudo, Soonsay, and Colbol.

Colbol secured the final Slippi Champions League spot by placing 4th at Rollback Rumble: SCL Q2. His run saw him overcome many challenging opponents. Colbol defeated Kevin “Bones” Emm, Fiction, and Ben Strandmark.
