Should you pre-order Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO?

Pre-ordering Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero not only guarantees early access to the game but also unlocks exclusive characters. However, there is a mystery character yet to be revealed. Who could it be?

Early unlock characters

Six characters can be unlocked early if you pre-order the game:

  • Gogeta
  • Super Saiyan Gogeta
  • Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta
  • Broly (Super)
  • Super Saiyan Broly (Super)
  • Legendary Super Saiyan Broly (Super)

Those are some really iconic characters, and could certainly make a case for pre-ordering the game. If you’re a huge fan of any of these characters, go ahead — but if you’re not bothered and would prefer to wait and see the quality of the game, that’s alright, too.

But… who could this mystery character be?

Who is the mystery character in Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO?

With predictions for this mystery character flying left, right, center, I thought I’d add my 2 cents to the conversation. Here are five characters I think could be the mystery character:

1. Super Saiyan 4 Goku (DB: GT)

Super Saiyan 4 Goku is one of my favorite characters of all time. The red hair, red coat, and strikingly stern demeanor give me goosebumps. Although Dragon Ball GT is not canon, he’s Goku, and I’ll take every version of him!

2. Cell Max (DBS: Super Hero)

Cell Max represents the ultimate evolution of the infamous bio-android. This colossal, rage-fueled monstrosity’s inclusion can add some dynamism to the roster, another giant character to choose from (after Great Ape Vegeta).

3. Mini Goku (DB: Daima)

Dragon Ball: Daima coincides with the release of Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO so our chances of getting a Mini Goku are looking good. With his smaller stature, Mini Goku could bring along unique dodging abilities, unconventional fighting styles, or comedic special moves that contrast sharply with the more serious and powerful characters.

4. Android 21 (DB: FighterZ)

Originally introduced in Dragon Ball FighterZ, Android 21 quickly became a fan favorite.  Her ability to absorb the energy of her foes and transform her appearance could make her gameplay highly versatile.

5. Ultra Ego Vegeta (DB: Manga)

Hear me out on this one. Ultra Ego Vegeta would be so cool! Plain and simple. However, we do know that if a character hasn’t been animated, chances are they won’t make the cut. But, you can forgive a guy for dreaming right?
