Though he had some last-game matches in pools, SFAT won his first top 8 sets much more convincingly. Neither Ben Strandmark nor Dawud “Aklo” Rahman managed to take a game off of him. SFAT concluded his I Dair You! run with a 3-2 victory over the West Coast’s highest-seeded player, Jeffrey “Axe” Williamson.

He eliminated Duncan “SDJ” Meara 3-0, Avery “Ginger” Wilson 3-2, and Ben 3-2 to reach top 4. From there, Axe had a smoother ride to Grand Finals, as he defeated KoDoRiN and Aklo without dropping a game.

Aklo’s run through pools included close but expected wins against Andrew “Unsure” Bisciglia and Travis “Travioli” Porter. However, the most significant part of his run came in Winners Quarters, where he upset Ginger in a five-game set. Aklo also defeated Aura 3-0 before finishing in 3rd place.
