Last week, esports organization Sentinels announced that they would be entering the world of competitive League of Legends: Wild Rift. Over the course of the last few days, Sentinels has shifted through thousands of applications, and on Friday, August 6, they made their final decision, signing the 30k roster.

The five player roster consists of top laner Matt “MTS” Stover, jungler Kevin “Sheesh” Chavez, mid laner Michael “MichealUdall” Udall, ADC Tanner “Rest” Scadden, and support Jacob “Beginnings” Chavez. These five players have already qualified for the first Major in the Wild Rift Summoner Series circuit. The team will be sticking together just under the Sentinels brand.

The head coach will also remain the same. William “ThePierceJ” Ware will be coming over from 30k. Instead of going for a team of free agents, Sentinels has made the decision to pick up an already established team with some tournament success. 30k placed fourth in the first open qualifier tournament in the Wild Rift Summoner Series. In that event, this roster defeated Cloud 9 in the Quarter-Finals before falling to “Team Goons” in the Semi-Finals. However, their placement got them the top four finish needed to qualify for the first Major.

The Wild Rift Summoner Series is the official North American circuit that will eventually conclude with the NA Regional Championships later this year.  Sentinels will take over the Team30k slot at the first Major of the Summoner Series. That event takes place this weekend starting on Saturday August 6. Spectators can catch the action live on the GiantSlayerWR Twitch channel starting at 3 PM ET.
