Two days ago, we reported that Microsoft’s online store leaked Ronda Rousey as a pre-order bonus for the upcoming WWE 2K19. Earlier today, that news became 100 percent official. And, according to rumors, “Rowdy” Roddy Piper himself might be part of the roster as well.
Getting “Rowdy” with Ronda Rousey
WWE.com made the announcement official. “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey will become part of WWE 2K19’s roster. Like Rey Mysterio, who was announced last June, Rousey will be joining the superstar extravaganza. Paying homage to her mentor and friend, “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, Rousey’s attire will be the one she wore on her Wrestlemania 34 debut. Rousey considers Piper a major influence in her journey to become an athlete. Furthermore, Piper’s tenacity and character work helped boost Rousey’s confidence to adopt “The Baddest Woman on the Planet” persona.
Speaking of Piper himself, there’s a rumor that he might also become a playable character in WWE 2K19. Ryan Satin, who runs Pro Wrestling Sheet, tweeted that “The Rowdy One” might make his return. That’s great news for wrestling fans who would love to relive his classic matches.
WWE 2K19 will be released on October 9. Daily Esports will keep you updated, and, moreover, we’ll provide coverage on the upcoming roster reveals.
