The best Revolving Shotgun loadout in Call of Duty: Vanguard

The best shotgun in Vanguard multiplayer so far
This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information

Out of all the weapon classes in Call of Duty: Vanguard, the shotgun category is by far the weakest so far. In the beta, there were only two weapons, the Revolving and the Auto Loading Shotgun. Out of these two, the Revolving Shotgun was the better choice by a wide margin. However, it’s still a lackluster option in terms of overall weapons in Vanguard. Nevertheless, for Vanguard players who want or need to run a shotgun, the Revolving Shotgun with this loadout is the best option.

Unlike the Auto Loading Shotgun, the Revolving Shotgun is meant for use at further ranges. As the name suggests, it has a revolver-type mechanism that can turn it into a rifle with the right attachments. However, the shotgun almost always requires two bullets to kill an enemy, making it generally useless at close range. At longer ranges, though, players can find success using its loadout against unsuspecting enemies.

The one area that the Revolving Shotgun needs help with is its accuracy. As players need to use it at longer ranges, accuracy becomes a more important part of the weapon. Along with this, upgrading the magazine and mobility of the shotgun are also vital aspects of the loadout.

  • Muzzle: G28 Compressor
  • Barrel: CGC 22″ Rapid
  • Optic: MK 3 Sunfilter
  • Stock: Removed Stock
  • Underbarrel: MK6 Para
  • Magazine: 12 Gauge 10 Round Drums
  • Ammo Type: Slug
  • Rear Grip: Leather Grip
  • Proficiency: Headhunter
  • Kit: Quick

Attachments like the Removed Stock and Leather Grip help with the Revolving Shotgun’s mobility traits. They improve ADS time, in case players need to fend off an enemy at close to medium range. For accuracy purposes, the G28 Compensator and MK6 Para are perfect to give the shotgun more stability when aiming.

Finally, the 12 Gauge 10 Round Drums, paired with the Slug Ammo Type, set the Revolving Shotgun apart from its in-class counterpart. These attachments help turn the shotgun into a mini-sniper, provided players can hit their shots. With the loadout above, though, that should be made much easier.
