Neil “pr0lly” Hammad, will join the analyst desk for the 2020 LCS season. The former head coach of 100 Thieves’ League of Legends team, he will be accompanying Markz and Hai at the desk. pr0lly begins his analyst duties this Saturday, January 25, during the first broadcast of the Spring Split.

Pr0lly’s Story

pr0lly has been playing League of Legends since season one. Prior to that, he was involved in the DotA and World of Warcraft communities.

He played professionally in LCS for CompLexity Gaming as a mid-laner, though his career as a player was short-lived. In 2014, pr0lly was named head coach of H2K, an EU team. The next year, he was awarded the honor of “Best Coach” at the 2015 EU LCS Spring Split.

Hammad came back to North America in 2018, taking a position as head coach of 100 Thieves. With pr0lly coaching, the team took first place in the LCS Spring Split. 100 Thieves managed to place in the top five of every North American tournament they competed in during 2018 and finished the year tied for 9th at Worlds.

Things took a turn in the 2019 season, however, as 100 Thieves struggled to maintain their performance from the prior year. The team ranked poorly, placing 10th in the Spring Split and 8th in the Summer Split. By November, 100 Thieves had announced that pr0lly was being let go from the team. Following his departure from 100 Thieves, pr0lly largely retreated from social media until the announcement this week that he will be joining the analyst desk for the LCS broadcasts this year.

The LCS kicks off the new season this coming weekend with a match between Cloud9 and Team Liquid. You will be able to find Pr0lly’s analysis on the Twitch stream. And follow along with Daily Esports’ coverage of the LCS on our League of Legends page.
