In the continued showcase for Modern Warfare Season 1, creators have uploaded footage of the two new Gunfight maps coming on Dec. 3. Recently, several YouTubers and streamers were flown out to Infinity Ward’s studios to capture gameplay. The event allowed them to play every new map and mode. Also, they had the chance to use the two new weapons coming in the Season 1 Battle Pass.
Cargo and Atrium join Modern Warfare’s Gunfight lineup
We had an idea of what these Gunfight maps would look like before today. The Season 1 promotional image provided us with a small sneak peek. But today, we finally get to see full-on gameplay of Cargo and Atrium from various creators.
Cargo is a remastering of the Wetwork map from the original Modern Warfare. However, in this version, the map takes place inside of the actual ship rather than on the outside. As expected, there are tons of cargo containers in the middle of the map, providing good cover. It also has a solid level of verticality, something other Gunfight maps lack.
The other map, Atrium, is a completely new map. The setting is the ground floor of a marble-laced building with tons of tiny rooms and pillars. The pillars are pretty much the only cover you’ll get, with the exception of a large tree in the middle of the area.
YouTuber TheKoreanSavage shows off both of these maps in his latest video. Skip to 1:22 in the video if you want to see Cargo or 3:50 to see Atrium in action.
Gunfight is among the most popular modes currently in Modern Warfare. These two new maps should only increase its popularity. Hopefully, the rest of Season 1’s content will be enough to satisfy the ever-insatiable appetite of the Call of Duty community.
