Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season One now has an official end date, as Infinity Ward released a short video earlier today. The teaser includes a start date for Season Two as well as the confirmation of Simon “Ghost” Riley. There were hints at Ghost’s arrival after the last update, but now it’s official. Season Two is set to begin one week from today on Feb. 11, which should be accompanied by a large update. Also in the short video, we may have gotten a look at a future map coming with Modern Warfare Season Two.
Modern Warfare set to welcome Ghost and Rust?
The first season of Modern Warfare has been live in-game since early December. While not a huge period of time, it’s safe to say that fans are awaiting more content from Infinity Ward. Season One didn’t feature the most content, so Season Two will be a breath of fresh air.
Feb. 11 was the rumored start date for the second season, and now we know for sure that the date is accurate thanks to this short video Infinity Ward released.

As we can gather from the video, Ghost is surely arriving with Season Two. It’s likely he’ll be the main Operator for the season, meaning he’ll be available on day one. While this is very exciting for long-time fans, there was something else in the video that some might have missed.
Around 10 seconds into the video, we can see a short glimpse of what looks to be a map. That map seems to look a lot like Rust from Modern Warfare 2. One of the most famous maps in Call of Duty, the community would be overjoyed if Rust made a return.
