Infinity Ward has introduced Call of Duty: Modern Warfare patch 1.04, which releases many bug fixes along with two popular game modes. These include Ground War and Free-for-All to the multiplayer mode. This is the first patch for the first-person shooter game that just released.

Modern Warfare patch 1.04

The first iconic game mode added with patch 1.04 to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is Ground War. This mode was previously available in the beta version and features a massive map with up to 64 players at the same time in a match. It is similar to the Domination game mode but also comes with vehicles like helicopters and annoying tanks. Players earn points by capturing and holding objectives, which also opens forward spawning locations for team members. A team wins when they reach 250 points.

The Free-for-All game mode has also been added to Modern Warfare, which is also referred to as “Deathmatch.” It pits every player against each other. Players win by achieving a certain amount of kills, which is usually 30. The top three players will receive the win in the 10-minute match. The Ground War and Free-for-All game modes join Search and Destroy, Team Deathmatch, Cyber Attack, Domination, Headquarters, and Realism.

Call of Duty bug fixes

In addition to the game modes, the patch brings backend fixes to help prevent crashing, which was a major issue at launch. Weapons without scopes on Xbox have also had their ADS improved. A campaign bug relating to the Highway mission failing due to an exfiltration bug has been fixed as well.

Other bug fixes apply to certain challenges not displaying progress, weapon camos not being unlocked, exploits for Gunsmith on mouse and keyboard, a bug for earning extra points while shooting specific vehicles with Pointman equipped, and more.
