Method NA goes 4-1 and Horizon achieves a reverse sweep

After a season of games that led to a weekend of intense matches, Method NA and Horizon won the World of Warcraft Arena World Championship Season 2 Grand Finals.

Method NA wins Arena World Championship

Method NA reached the top by defeating Golden Guardians 3-0 in the quarterfinal. This was followed by claiming victory over Cloud9 in the semifinal with a score of 3-1. However, the Golden Guardians didn’t relent as they fought their way back to the grand final for a rematch after defeating Unitas Blue and Cloud9 in the elimination bracket.

Unlike the other best-of-five matches, the grand final for the World of Warcraft Arena World Championship involved getting the best score out of seven games. Method NA and the Golden Guardians duked it out in the Nagrand Arena, with Method NA earning a point after taking down their opponent’s priest. When the teams fought in Ashamane’s Fall in the next game, Method NA obtained another point.

The Golden Guardians brought it back in the Dalaran Sewers, with their hunter and rogue taking down Method NA’s monk. When it was time to battle in Black Rook Hold, Method NA achieved victory by defeating the opposing team’s hunter first. The last game between the Method NA and the Golden Guardians was in Tiger’s Peak, with Method NA winning with a final score of 4-1.

Horizon’s reverse sweep

As for the European region, Horizon fought against Method EU in the quarterfinal and won 3-1 before moving to the semifinal and sweeping Skill Capped 3-0. However, Method EU fought their way through the elimination bracket to face Horizon again in the grand final.

The final World of Warcraft Arena World Championship match between Horizon and Method EU began in the Nagrand Arena, with the latter team taking the first point. Method EU remained victorious in the Ruins of Lordaeron and the Robodrome.

However, Horizon didn’t give in and bested the opposing team in the Hook Point arena. Horizon then claimed two more wins in Ashamane’s Fall and Tiger’s Peak. When it came down to the match point in Tol’viron Arena, Horizon emerged victorious and closed out the World of Warcraft Arena World Championship Season 2 Grand Finals for the European region.
