Marss qualified for the GOML North American Open finale by winning the Northeast USA qualifier on October 18. He was one of eight players floated into top 16 in that bracket. (Every regional qualifier included eight regional bosses who automatically secured a spot in top 16.)

Marss kicked off the Northeast USA bracket by beating “9superpie” 3-1, Salvatore “Zomba” DeSena 3-0, and Noah “Sharp” McCulley 3-1. Then, he beat Elam “Pokelam” Rosario 3-0 in Winners Finals. Marss dropped the first Grand Finals set to Pokelam 2-3, but ended up winning the second set 3-1 to claim a spot in the finale.

In the final bracket, Marss defeated Jayjay “Ouch!?” Basilian 3-1 and Spencer “BestNess” Garner 3-0. He faced Nicholas “Ned” Dovel in Winners Finals, winning that set 3-1. Marss fought Ned again in Grand Finals of the GOML North American Open. This time, he scored an even more convincing 3-0.
