Maple’s return to MSI is a precious opportunity

After an incredible career with the Flash Wolves, including many international events and an IEM Katowice title, Huang “Maple” Yi-Tang had a tough couple of seasons in the League of Legends Pro League. Now, after returning to his residential region in the Pacific Championship Series, he has reclaimed his throne and found his way back to the Mid-Season Invitational two and a half years after attending his last international tournament. Maple performed incredibly at MSI 2021 and reminded his fans and competitors alike why they know his name.

Despite playing with a substitute AD Carry, Maple and PSG Talon have locked their spot in the MSI 2021 Knockout Stage with a 6-4 record in the Rumble Stage. There, they find LCK’s DWG Kia, LPL’s Royal Never Give Up, and LEC’s MAD Lions. Maple acknowledges the pressure of the knockouts and the best of fives, but remains confident they can advance to the finals and fight for the MSI cup.
