Maister ran through pools easily enough, flawlessly sweeping through his first three matches. However, he did drop a game to Zohaib “Ray Kalm” Khan in their winners top 64 qualifier set. Upon reaching top 64, Maister beat Jeffrey “ATATA” Solberg 2-1, Michael “Riddles” Kim 2-1, and Luis “Lui$” Oceguera 2-0.

Maister kicked off his top 8 run by defeating Noah “Sharp” M. 3-0. Then in Winners Finals, he beat Griffin “Fatality” Miller 3-1. Maister suffered an 0-3 loss to “Sonix” in the first set of Grand Finals. However, he retaliated with a 3-1 victory in the second set to win Ultimate Naifu Wars #12.

Sonix began his bracket run with predictable wins over the likes of Brian “Benny&TheJets” Navarro and Cathal “holopup” Collins. However, he suffered an early loss to Sharp in Winners Quarters. In the losers bracket, Sonix eliminated Spencer “BestNess” Garner, Lui$, and Leonardo “MkLeo” Lopez Perez to reach top 4. He also defeated Riddles, Fatality, and Maister, with his impressive losers run bringing him to a 2nd place finish.

Fatality had an unexpected run to 3rd place at Ultimate Naifu Wars #12, his best online tournament performance by far. Before this, his best placement at a traditional online major was 49th at The Box. Fatality’s Cinderella run to Winners Finals began with victories against Brett “8BitMan” Esposito and Ryan “Ravenking” McDonough. Notably, he also defeated BestNess, Jade “Middy” Vong, and MkLeo without dropping any games.

Riddles similarly scored many impressive wins en route to his 4th place finish at Ultimate Naifu Wars #12. Despite upsetting Brian “Cosmos” Kalu, Riddles quickly fell into the losers bracket after a loss to Maister. Immediately, he eliminated Kolawole “Kola” Aideyan (who entered under the tag “PIKAPIZZA07”). Riddles also beat David “LeoN” Leon, Angel “tAngelt” Nunez, Middy, and Sharp.
