Legends of Runeterra Spoiler Viktor

Legends of Runeterra spoiler brings Viktor and tons of spells to the game

The latest champion coming to Riot Games’ digital card game Legends of Runeterra is Viktor, the Machine Herald. From the Piltover & Zaun region, Viktor relies heavily on the Augment ability, encouraging players to play created cards. Viktor was spoiled along with a bunch of other cards to compliment his abilities so let’s take a look at Legends of Runeterra’s ever-adapting champion.

At four mana, Viktor is a fairly aggressive champion, rewarding players who can cast him early and get spells cast. His ability creates a Hex Core Upgrade card in hand at the start of each round. In turn, Hex Core Upgrade grants Viktor a random keyword ability. It doesn’t explicitly state that it’s a new keyword ability, but hopefully, the card doesn’t try to double up on abilities. Each time players cast Viktor’s created card, it will boost his attack thanks to his Augment ability.

Once Viktor gains the elusive ability, he can start closing out games very quickly. Pair him with an Ezreal or Karma to have a constant stream of created spells. Once leveled up, Viktor reduces the cost of created cards by 1 and gains a small stat boost.

Another card spoiled in the announcement is Death Ray – MK 1, MK 2, and MK 3. These spells all work in tandem and create more spells for Viktor. For one mana, players can cast Death Ray – MK 1 to deal one damage to a unit.

Once it resolves, a copy of MK 2 is placed in the top three cards of the player’s deck. The process is repeated when players cast MK 2, and MK 3, dealing 2 and 3 damage respectively. These spells help raise Viktor’s attack and eventually level him up while picking off smaller units, followers and champions alike.

The final card spoiled for Legends of Runeterra is Iterative Improvement. This spell copies any follower in play and creates a copy of it in hand. That follower gains +1/+1 and if a leveled up Viktor is in play, costs one less to cast.

Cosmic Creation, the third expansion to Legends of Runeterra’s Call of the Mountain set, is set to release on December 16. Riot Games still has two more champions to reveal for Legends of Runeterra so make sure to stay tuned to Daily Esports for all your card game news.
