Last chance to grab three free skins for League of Legends

The last remaining truly free giveaways in League of Legends are about to join the vault. Many of us didn’t have enough friends cool enough to give us referral credits, so we missed out on the free Grey Warwick and Medieval Twitch. Most of us couldn’t attend the PAX events, so we were left out on PAX Sivir, Jax, and Twisted Fate. But all of us have always had the ability to click Like, Follow, and Subscribe. Thus, we’ve always had access to three free skins and their accompanying champions: Dreadknight Garen, Riot Girl Tristana, and Unchained Alistar. Not for much longer, it seems. In an official post on their website, Riot Games has announced that the long-running social media promotions are being discontinued.

Players could originally get all three skins (and their accompanying champions) through giveaway pages set-up on the League of Legends website. All you had to do was:

• Like the League of Legends Facebook page to unlock Tristana and her “Riot Girl” skin
• Follow the League of Legends Twitter account to unlock Garen and his “Dreadknight” skin
• Subscribe to the League of Legends YouTube channel to unlock Alistar and his “Unchained” skin

Last chance to redeem your free skins

If, for whatever reason, you still don’t have these skins, don’t cover that beautiful face in salty tears just yet. To ensure that the cancellation of these promotions doesn’t blindside anyone, Riot is giving players until August 1 to redeem all three skins for free. As an added bonus, you no longer have to visit all of the game’s social channels. Riot has instead set-up a quick ticketing system that will reward all of the free skins simultaneously. We’ve copied the quick step-by-step guide for you below:

1. Go to the homepage of the Support Site
2. Click “Login” in the upper right-hand corner
3. Enter your account details (the same details you use to log into the client)
4. Click on “Submit A Request” at the top of the page
5. Select “Free Limited Time Promotional Skins: Tristana/Alistar/Garen” in the dropdown
6. Check the boxes for the skins you want
7. Click “Submit”
8. You should soon receive an email from Blitzcrank confirming delivery of the skins

Once the August 1st deadline passes, Riot Girl Tristana and Unchained Alistar will both join the legacy vault. This means that they will not be available by any means unless brought back during special promotions. Dreadknight Garen will continue selling in the shop for 975 RP.
