After months of radio silence and no announcements outside of new skins, we finally have news on the future of Mortal Kombat 11. A brand new trailer revealed Kombat Pack 2, the next set of DLC characters for Mortal Kombat 11. The pack includes Rain, who hasn’t been playable since Mortal Kombat 9, Mileena, and the 80’s action icon Rambo.
Unlike The Terminator, Rambo will be voiced by the actor that played him in the films, Sylvester Stallone. Facial motion capture for the character comes from Rambo: First Blood Part II and Rambo 3. In addition to the three characters is a skin pack titled the Time Warriors Skin Pack. This will include new skins for Liu Kang, Skarlet, and Kabal. There will also be a free next-gen upgrade available for current Mortal Kombat 11 owners and new buyers starting November 17. The next-gen version will feature crossplay and cross-gen, reduced load times, 4K graphics, and other “visual enhancements.”
The next-gen version will also be available as a separate version called Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate. This version will contain everything the game has released so far. This includes the base game, the Aftermath expansion, and both Kombat Packs. There will also be a Kollector’s Edition available that contains Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate, a next-gen exclusive Avalanche Sub-Zero skin, a steel case with a die-cast magnet, a Kollector’s box, and a 1:1 scale Sub-Zero mask.
Get your Ultimate on
We don’t know anything about the gameplay features for any of the new characters yet, and a Kombat Kast has yet to be announced. It would not be surprising to see at least one of those drop before the release date of Kombat Pack 2 and Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate on November 17. Pre-orders for the Kombat Pack 2 and Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate are available right now.
