Keemstar announces huge Call of Duty: Warzone tournament

This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

Popular YouTube personality and host of the show “Drama Alert”, Daniel “Keemstar” Keem, has revealed plans for a Call of Duty: Warzone tournament. This isn’t anything new for Keemstar, as he was the creator of the famous Friday Fortnite tournaments that singlehandedly made some players’ careers. However, that event was shut down a while ago due to restrictions with Epic Games’ policies.

With Warzone, however, those problems don’t exist, and the demand is certainly high for more content on the new battle royale. As such, “Warzone Wednesdays” will start on Tuesday, March 25 and have $20,000 up for grabs.

Warzone Wednesdays start next week

Obviously, this is great news for any fans of the Call of Duty battle royale. Not only will more Warzone content arise from it, but dozens of high-profile streamers and creators are set to participate.

Earlier today, Keemstar revealed who would participate in the first Warzone Wednesday tournament. Below, you can see a list of all of the confirmed players.

While there could be more names participating, this is the list as of right now. We’re not sure how the Warzone tournament will work, however, as individual players were announced instead of teams. This could mean that each player will be solo, which is a change from Friday Fortnite.

Presumably, if the players are in fact solo, the bracket will place two or three competitors head-to-head in Warzone. All three will be on the same team, but their goal is to secure more kills than the other two. The same format would work if there are in fact teams, but Warzone Squads only has three-man teams, so that could be a tricky situation.

We’ll be sure to let you know more details as they come in here at Daily Esports.
