This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

It appears Infinity Ward is finally delivering on its promise for better communication. In a new community update released today, the developer studio details some future content coming to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Also, they let the community know what bugs they’re currently tracking and a roadmap for every week of Modern Warfare. While it’s not the overhaul some fans would like to see, it’s certainly a step in the right direction for Infinity Ward.

More content coming to Modern Warfare

Infinity Ward previously did a horrible job of communicating with the community, to put it lightly. Fans had no idea what was going on with Modern Warfare even though the game had a plethora of issues. However, the studio acknowledged this recently and vowed to step up its game.

The new community update looks to be the first step for Infinity Ward. They announced that 3v3 Gunfight is in the works along with the additional loadout slots everyone has been asking about.

Also, they stated that they’re putting in fixes for the following bugs:

  • Lighting flickering on various maps
  • Mission collision on containers on Cargo
  • Platinum skins not unlocking properly
  • Out of map exploits in Ground War
  • Platinum and Damascus camos glare while ADS

However, those aren’t all the bugs they’re keeping an eye on. In fact, they’ve opened up a Trello board for the community to see any bugs Infinity Ward is tracking. In addition to that, they’ve laid out a roadmap for future weeks, going over which days will feature which updates:

  • Tuesday – Playlist updates
  • Thursday – Developer diary and/or behind the scenes blog
  • Friday – Community Update blog

This is definitely trending the correct way for Infinity Ward and Modern Warfare. Although, the biggest question is — can Infinity Ward continue this trend, or will they eventually go back to their old ways?
