North American organization Immortals have practiced with inactive player Rhett “Kehmicals” Lynch for Daniel “Rossy” Abedrabbo, multiple sources told Upcomer July 16.
It is unclear if Immortals have promoted Kehmicals and whether he will start in place of Rossy for the upcoming VALORANT Championship Tour Stage 3 Challengers 2 Open Qualifier, which begins July 22. In terms of Agents, Kehmicals returned to his Jett in practice alongside Cypher.
Kehmicals was originally placed on the inactive roster following the acquisition of Robert “truo” Pham on July 1. Immortals were likely dissatisfied with their recent performance in the VCT Stage 3 Challengers 1 Open Qualifier, where they lost to the Kansas City Pioneers in the round of 16. Immortals thereby failed to qualify for Challengers 1, which concluded July 12 with Sentinels as the victors.
Immortals recently bowed out in joint-last in the Nerd Street Gamers Summer Championship Open 10, which concluded July 7. Immortals lost in the first round to Evil Geniuses 2-0, who went on to lose against Resonate in the quarterfinals.
Immortals are set to participate in the upcoming VCT Stage 3 Challengers 2 Open Qualifier, which will begin July 22. If they qualify for the main event, Immortals must finish inside of the top four to earn a place at Challengers Playoffs, which begins Aug. 11.
Challengers Playoffs, which teams such as XSET, Envy, Sentinels and 100 Thieves have qualified for, will earn the top three teams a place at Stage 3 Masters in Berlin, Germany. The first place team at this event will earn a spot at Champions in November.
If Immortals promote Kehmicals back to an active role, the organization’s roster will look as follows:
- Jonah “JonahP” Pulice
- Andrew “ShoT_Up” Orlowski
- Amgalan “Genghsta” Nemekhbayar
