How to use Third Person Mode in MW3 Zombies

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Zombies is a brand new mode that combines elements of DMZ and Outbreak from previous games. However, it has a few new mechanics that you can take advantage of, like Third Person Mode.

Third Person Mode is easily accessible in MW3 Zombies, but the game doesn’t do a great job of explaining how you are able to use it. Once you figure that out, though, you can freely go between First Person and Third Person, meaning you can either see the map from your character’s point of view or see your character and your surroundings from a wider perspective. Third Person Mode might be useful to scope out areas, search for something quickly, or just be a nice change of pace from First Person Mode.

Using Third Person Mode in MW3 Zombies

Fortunately, the process to go into Third Person Mode can be done seamlessly wherever you are and at any time. To do so, simply follow the steps below:

• Go into a match of MW3 Zombies
• When you are able to move your character, all you need to do is press “Down” on the D-Pad
• For keyboard and mouse users, you can go into your Keybinds menu and set a custom keybind for this action
• To return to First Person Mode, press Down on the D-Pad again
• You can do this at any time you want during a Zombies match

However, I simply find it to be a unique way of playing that distinguishes the mode from multiplayer. Either way, now you can use Third Person Mode with ease.
