Season 1 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone launches on Dec. 7 and will introduce a plethora of new content. A major part of this content is three new weapons, one of which is a fresh sniper rifle that resembles the Ballista from Black Ops 2. This sniper is called the XRK Stalker and looks to be quite a formidable force in MW3 and Warzone.

The XRK Stalker is a bolt-action sniper rifle that uses .50 Cal ammunition and is described as a “tactical sniper rifle that deals massive damage and is highly customizable to support multiple playstyles.” Activision states you are able to design the XRK Stalker to be a beast at long ranges or a “quick-scoping menace,” depending on what attachments you use.

To see exactly how you can unlock the XRK Stalker in MW3 and Warzone, keep reading the guide below.

Unlocking the XRK Stalker in MW3 and Warzone

Since the XRK Stalker is arriving at the start of Season 1, it is featured on the Battle Pass as a free tier. This means you don’t need to pay for the Premium Battle Pass to unlock the sniper. Of course, this means you don’t get access to most of the other content on the pass but there are several free tiers you can still unlock.

The XRK Stalker is available on the A4 Sector of the Battle Pass, which you can access after unlocking the A1 and A2 Sectors, as seen in the screenshot below.

Once you get to the A4 Sector, you have to unlock the four smaller tiers of content before you can unlock the main prize, the XRK Stalker. After you do that, you can start using the XRK Stalker immediately in either MW3 or Warzone. You are also able to complete all new camo challenges for the sniper in both multiplayer and Zombies.
