How to unlock the Stormender in MW3 and Warzone

A new launcher enters the fray

Season 1 of Call of Duty: Warzone and MW3 has introduced three new weapons into the game, including the RAM-7, XRK Stalker, and Stormender. The RAM-7 and XRK Stalker are weapons that most players would expect to see in a new season, while the Stormender is somewhat of an anomaly.

The Stormender is a launcher, which is a weapon class that doesn’t usually receive much attention after the initial release of a Call of Duty title. It makes sense why the developers are introducing the Stormender, though, as MW3 only featured one new launcher, the RGL-80, up to this point. Unlike the RGL-80, the Stormender isn’t focused on eliminating enemy players, but instead enemy aircraft and killstreaks.

If you’re interested in using the Stormender in Season 1 of MW3 and Warzone, check out the guide below to see how you can unlock it.

Unlocking the Stormender in MW3 and Warzone

Since the Stormender is arriving at the start of Season 1, it is available through the Battle Pass in MW3 and Warzone. Luckily, all weapons on the Battle Pass are a part of the free tiers, meaning you don’t have to purchase the Premium Battle Pass to acquire the Stormender or the other two weapons in Season 1.

The Stormender is available through the A12 Sector on the Season 1 Battle Pass. This sector is found on the top-left part of the Battle Pass, meaning you have to progress through several other tiers of content to access it. Once you get to A12, you need to unlock the four smaller pieces of content before you can unlock the bigger prize, the Stormender.

You can unlock tiers in the Battle Pass by playing MW3 or Warzone and earning Battle Pass Tokens. Those tokens are then used to unlock specific tiers on the pass, but you can only unlock tiers in sectors you have unlocked. You are also able to purchase Tier Skips for 150 COD Points, which allow you to unlock tiers without using tokens.

Either way, once you complete the A12 Sector on the Season 1 Battle Pass, you can immediately start using the Stormender in either MW3 or Warzone.
